Many of the most debilitating techniques will only be taught to adults. Nonetheless, children will be taught effective techniques that will work for them in a safe, helpful and caring environment.

Children will not be presented with a black belt until they are at least 16 years of age. Until they are 16, however, they will not be held back nor kept from learning. They will continue to get individualized attention and grow in their training.

What is the History of Sho Bushido?
Sho Bushido Ryu Bujutsu was founded on January 1 1999, to explore the frontiers of Sho Du Do Bujitsu. Sho Bushido Ryu is an offshoot of Sho Bu Do Bujitsu. The overall Master of both Sho Bu Do and Sho Bushido Ryu is Nakasato Shoshu Master of Okinawa. Nakasato Master has over 40 years of experience in the martial arts, and has retired from teaching. The Honorable Nate Banks Sensei, President of Sho Bu Do Bujutsu of America, lives in Flint, Michigan. Hutchins Sensei, Sho Bushido Ryu Bujutsu's founder, has the great honor of looking to Banks Sensei as a mentor and a friend. While the practitioners of Sho Bu Do and Sho Bushido Ryu maintain close relationships and meet bi-annually for seminars, there are enough differences between the arts to merit two distinct styles.
